Red Roses Leads a Weekend of Championship Success at the IMHC Indian Summer Show

IMHC Indian Summer Show23–24 May 2026

The 2026 show season continued in outstanding fashion at the IMHC Indian Summer Show, where Minstrels Miniature Horses enjoyed another memorable weekend of success across both the AMHR and AMHA registries.

Competing over two days, our horses collected multiple Championships, Grand Championships and a prestigious Supreme Championship, reinforcing the strength and consistency of the Minstrels show team.

Day One – AMHR

The opening day belonged to SHM Westernboys Red Roses, who dominated the AMHR mare divisions.

Red Roses was crowned AMHR Aged Mare Champion (3 Years & Older – 34" & Under) before progressing to claim both the AMHR Senior Mare Championship and the AMHR Grand Mare Championship. It was a flawless performance and the perfect start to the weekend.

JSW Showkayces Peppermint Blaze also continued her remarkable 2026 campaign with another impressive collection of titles. Peppermint was awarded AMHR Mare Champion, AMHR Senior Mare Champion & Reserve, and AMHR Mare Grand Champion & Reserve, adding further championship honours to an already exceptional season.

Owned and exhibited by Katharine Walsh, EBF Vinnies Black Moon Ashes (Cinders) continued her excellent form by winning her AMHR Two-Year-Old Mare class before going on to secure both the AMHR Major Youth Champion & Reserve and AMHR Amateur Halter Junior Mare titles. These results continue to highlight the exciting future ahead for this beautiful young mare.

Our homebred colt Minstrels Incendios Showman also gained valuable championship experience, continuing to impress as one of the promising young stallions from the Minstrels breeding programme.

Day Two – AMHA

If Day One belonged to Red Roses, Day Two confirmed her exceptional quality.

Following her AMHR Grand Championship success, SHM Westernboys Red Roses returned to the AMHA ring and once again stood at the top of the line. After winning the Senior Mare Championship (Over 32"), she went on to claim the prestigious title of AMHA Supreme Halter Champion, before also being awarded Grand & Reserve Senior Mare Champion.

Winning Supreme Halter honours is always a significant achievement, and to follow an AMHR Grand Championship with an AMHA Supreme Championship on consecutive days made Red Roses one of the standout horses of the entire weekend.

JSW Showkayces Peppermint Blaze continued her consistent run of success by winning the AMHA Senior Mare Championship (Over 30" to 32"), before adding the Grand & Reserve Senior Mare Championship to her growing list of accolades. Peppermint continues to establish herself as one of the most successful American Miniature Horses competing in the UK today.

EBF Vinnies Black Moon Ashes (Cinders) rounded off another outstanding weekend by adding the AMHA Amateur Mare Championship, AMHA Youth Mare Championship, and Grand & Reserve Junior Mare Championship to her impressive results. Under the ownership and exhibition of Katharine Walsh, Cinders continues to develop into an exceptional young mare with a very bright future ahead.

A Team in Outstanding Form

The IMHC Indian Summer Show demonstrated the remarkable depth of the Minstrels Miniature Horses team, with success shared across established champions and exciting youngstock alike.

From AMHR Grand Championships to the prestigious AMHA Supreme Halter Championship, the weekend added another impressive chapter to an already exceptional 2026 season. As the campaign continued towards the major championship shows and Horse of the Year Show qualifiers, the results at the IMHC Indian Summer Show provided yet more evidence of the quality, consistency and competitive strength of the Minstrels show team.
