Grand Championship Success at the IMHC Independence AMHA Show

IMHC Independence Mini Horse Show — AMHA5 July 2026

The successful 2026 season continued for Minstrels Miniature Horses at the IMHC Independence AMHA Show, with another excellent collection of results and major Championship honours across the show team.

Established Champions and younger horses both made their mark, with DVM Trouly It’s OK to Stare (Oakley) and Alliance Boleros Impress taking two of the day's major Grand Championship titles.

Oakley Crowned Senior Grand Stallion

A major highlight of the show came from DVM Trouly It’s OK to Stare, affectionately known at home as Oakley.

Oakley produced an outstanding performance in the senior stallion division before going on to be crowned AMHA Senior Grand Champion Stallion.

Oakley combines refinement, balance and presence with the unmistakable character of an American Miniature Horse stallion, and seeing him take Senior Grand honours was another fantastic achievement for the Minstrels team.

Impress Takes Junior Grand Gelding

There was further Grand Championship success for Alliance Boleros Impress, who enjoyed an exceptional show in the junior gelding division.

Impress progressed through his classes to take AMHA Junior Grand Champion Gelding.

The result was particularly rewarding and another demonstration of the quality within the Minstrels show string. Impress continues to mature into an extremely impressive show gelding, and taking Junior Grand Champion was a fantastic addition to his show record.

Red Roses Continues Her Outstanding Season

SHM Westernboys Red Roses continued the exceptional form that has characterised her 2026 campaign.

Following her earlier AMHR Grand Mare Championship and AMHA Supreme Halter Championship at the IMHC Indian Summer Show, Roses once again produced another strong performance in AMHA competition.

Her consistency throughout the season has made her one of the standout senior mares of the Minstrels 2026 show team.

Peppermint Adds to an Extraordinary Year

JSW Showkayces Peppermint Blaze also continued her remarkable 2026 campaign.

Already qualified for the 2026 Horse of the Year Show and following her historic second consecutive victory at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, Peppermint once again featured strongly in the AMHA senior mare competition.

Her ability to perform consistently across AMHA competition, HOYS qualifiers and open competition against full-sized horses and ponies has made 2026 an extraordinary season for this very special mare.
